Why does the Church of Jesus Christ (or Mormon church) build temples? You might have seen them driving on the freeway or pictures of them in Mormon homes. What do they mean? What do we do in them?
We as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are a covenant making people. We make covenants (or promises) with God to follow Him and to always try our best to obey His commandments. We, like the people in Bible times, make many of these covenants in our temples.
